Hey everybody. It's been a while since I posted last. Since then, many things have happened. I'm now back at school for one. I also purchased an iPhone pretty much immediately after the Macworld Expo almost a month ago. As you may or may not have read in previous articles, I had wanted one and so I finally decided to go out and grab one. I'll talk more about in a future post. I'm too "sad" right now to talk about how great the iPhone has been.

For anyone who's ever been looking for a reason to buy Office 2008 for Mac - Microsoft's newest version being released on Jan. 15th 2008 - here's a good one: Buy any qualifying version (including Student & Teacher Edition) of Office 2004 for Mac between Nov 17th and Jan 14th (this Monday) and get Office 2008 for Mac Special Edition - a whopping $500 value - for the price of just shipping and handling ($6.95). Does this sound like a great deal or what?

I recently bought a dedicated server. It was mostly on a whim, because it was so cheap, and the fact that I wanted to have something I could play around with and not be barred by a shared hosting plan, etc. I wanted to have my own machine. Needless to say, I moved motorspin.com onto it a little over a week ago with zero hiccups.

I've definitely learned a great deal. I didn't know much about what I was going to install, etc going into it but I found a few great resources on the internet that tell you what packages to install. The configuration part was easy - it was just knowing what the names of all the packages that wasn't so easy. Anyway, haven't had so much as a hiccup since I've moved motorspin.com (and a few other sites) onto it.
